Well my koi babies will stay in the pond as long as Mom still lives in this house. Which is approximately another 5 years. At that time I hope to have my own home and a yard I can at least put them in a large above ground pool. I might not have the money for a pond yet, but I'll make do! I want these babies with me for a long time!

Welp, I cut all the iris down today and removed the tropicals. I decided not to let the water hyacinth and water lettuce overwinter in the pond. If we get a cold winter, I don't want a ton of stuff rotting in the pond. I'll just buy some more come next spring. We didn't get to it today, but tomorrow the net goes over the pond.

A couple last pictures before the pond is covered up. I was playing with rocks in the waterfall and made a cute little stack! No pictures of the koi, tho, because the pond was cloudy from tearing out plants and stuff. According to my sister I smell like a swamp! :D

I actually compost the plants I pull from my pond. They go in the pile with all the leftover food stuffs from my house. It gives as GREAT topsoil.

I would LOVE to see pictures of your pond! I love all pond pictures!!

Welp. Maybe I have just one more picture of the pond. While I was out taking pictures of the carnivores I got a fun angle on the koi pond. Shows you just what my backyard looks like, too!

So pretty, I want to move further north. Florida doesn't get pretty in the fall.

Lol, don't worry, Willow - they won't eat YOU! >.<

Izzy has an amazing collection of carnivorous plants, look here if you haven't seen them (or if you have, look again!)! For being deadly (to buggies!), they sure are gorgeous!

. . . just one more reason why I'm determined to move in! ~.^
