You know you're a fishkeeper when...

You know you're a fishkeeper when...

...When you charge the manager of Walmart with 1st degree fish murder on 150 counts (or you hire a hitman for him)
...When you have to shower at friend's house because your bathtub is being used as a quarantine tank
...While watching TV, you notice every fish tank in the show and decide whether it's overstocked or not (I'm guilty )
...When you want to punch the next person to refer to an ocellaris clown as "a Nemo fish" at the LFS

Ok, your turn!

..when you watch the tanks more than the television. More entertaining IMO.
..when you try to whack people with a bat for suggest a Moorish Idol in a 15 gallons tank.
..when you try to spank people's butts for suggesting the method of flushing the fish in a toilet after watching what Darla in "Finding Nemo" did.
..when you give a person a lecture for putting a goldfish in a fishbowl.

You know you're a fishkeeper when:

A friend reaches into your freezer for a popsicle and instead grabs frozen bloodworms, reaches in again, gets brine shrimp, reaches in a third time, gets a baggie of long forgotten dead fish from some shipment last year, and says "Do you have any REAL food in here?"

Your bathroom faucet is PERMANENTLY hooked up to some python type tank filling hose set up.

You turn down going out on a Friday night because you're behind on water changes.

BTW, these are my real life.
Can I post more?

Good ones guys!

...when you look at an empty house and think, "I wonder how many fish tanks would fit in there?"
...when you walk into a Chinese restaurant and think, "That would be a perfect space for a tank!" (I did this over the weekend... )

Piggybacking off of that one...

....when you walk into a Chinese buffet and think, "MY GOD! Do you realize you can't have that many fish in that tank!"

Right. Because generally Chinese restaurants just love cramping too many fish in tanks. Especially goldfish in a fishbowl.

..you are late for class because you're still on the verge of reading too many books of fish.
..you turned down an invitation to go elsewhere because you are due for water changes schedule.
..you spend more money or whole savings on fish rather than your food, clothes and other valuables.
..you rack up the telephone bill because you keep calling your friends to ask advice, equipments and chat away about fish.
..you have a high electric bill because you use tank equipments which often have high wattage.
..you bore your friends to death over yakking about fish.
..you keep spending on transportation fees just to travel even to lfs which is far from your home.
..you find cheaper alternatives to make your tank a good habitat for your fish.
..you argue with your friends what makes "Finding Nemo" a disadvantage for kids.(Simply keeping the Moorish Idol in a small tank and letting Darla flush the fish in a toilet is a bad idea. )
