Are you KIDDING ME!?

OK, look at this post on craigslist. That is ridiculous. If your dogs won't stop barking at the parakeets.... maybe you should train your dogs!?!? Some people just make me mad.

It's easier to blame someone or something else. That's what people do. They are blaming the birds when they should be blaming themselves.

Dummies. That must be a fun house to hang out in. NOT.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I agree BUT at least they are trying to give them away to a good home and not just letting them go outside or getting rid of them some other cruel way......trying to see the good here, that's all.

P.S. Doogydog, I'm in the Philadelphia area as well....live in Langhorne, PA

More often then not the greater majority should NOT have pet's PERIOD!!!!

I live on a country Rd with next to no houses here.....do you have ANY idea how many drop offs for cats & dogs we get here right before summer break with all the "neat" Christmas gits......There was so many last year I eventually just broke down and cried.....

The daughter of a neighbor of mine has that to happen to her, too since she lives kind of out in the country. She's always rescuing dogs and cats that get dropped off. She fosters them and finds good homes for them.

Angel and Drama,

That makes my stomach churn. They're too lazy to take them to a no kill shelter? Or advertise on the internet to give them away for free?? Grrr!!!!

We had someone dump 2 puppies in the field next to our neighborhood about 2 years ago. A neighbor I petsit for was walking her dog over by thhe field and she saw a puppy walking along the side of the road. Her dog, Mackenzie started running after the puppy. The puppy led them to another puppy who was very sick. Mackenzie laid down next to the sick puppy and started licking her. My neighbor flagged down a man who worked for the nearby phone company and he drove them to Petsmart, which is just up the road. It doesn't make sense to dump animals on the side of the road when an adoption center is just up the road!! The sick puppy didn't make it through the night but a Petsmart employee adopted the other one.

I donno about KY but here nor the county shelter nor the city's shelter even bothers listening to me about finding them; much less take them in period.

The worst is not the cute sweet pup's getting dropped off; the worst is large breed aggressive dogs that been penned up half their live and then turned loose on us...and as much as I love any critter but when it comes to aggressive dogs vs my dogs there's be a rifle in play I hate to say it but I don't gamble with my dogs (nor the neighbors dogs) live there. Our other neighbor is SO SICK of the stray's he's shooting ANYTHING that comes on his property period no if and's or but's about it.

I honestly think its not right, the city knows this spot here is THE favorite drop of spot for town folks yet no one helps us in no way.

And we can't leave them roaming here cause these ex-pet dog then just become a pack and a ex pet turning into a pack dogs is just about the worst scenario you can wish on any neighborhood.

I have yet to find a proper solution for all this and I donno how/ what I don't have the $$$ to take in some 20-30 dogs each summer.....its a nightmare.......
