I think there should be like a point system. Everytime you give helpful advice a member could give you a point. Then when you get a certain amount of points you become a senior member.

Might also become a bit complicated as well, as usually a lot of posts are really helpful and stuff. And some people get quite lazy when they see "Want to give this person a point because they helped you?" I know I don't like to press buttons if I don't have to, haha ;)

How about a bit more intricate like... not so much personal, but says more about the poster? I see on other forums that there are more various titles like "super newbie, pro at ___, pro at ____, fish killer", etc etc... do you get my drift ? Of course I have no idea how to do that or how difficult it is. Just thought of it, haha. Just a little more fun with it too :)

"Hey. I have some bad news, and some good news."
"What's the bad news??"
"There's no good news."

You shouldn't get points for posts because a lot of people just post stuff like "cool!" or "hmmm".

What if the "Senior member" and all those titles were removed and changed into something else, less of labeling. Seeing how many posts one has is quite effective on that kindof judging (although it's still true on "Cool!" and whatnot). Maybe those who have really stuck with the website could be deserving of their own titles if they have themselves branded with the website as well ?

And by less of labeling, I mean like ... "Fish lover, fish hugger, fish owner, fish master" (abnormally corny, but just examples). Rather than directly "senior member."

I have no idea if I'm making sense.

I think some forums let you put your own status up there, like "master of the peanut gallery" or something like that. lol

lol. Maybe it should be like 1000 posts or something. I know I was more excited to have 1000 posts then to be senior member, lol. But I get what you guys are sayin about how sometimes we're just like "ohh, hmmm, yeah, he's beautiful!" stuff like that. lol.

THat would be cute to label yourself, but lots of people are way too modest (like me) haha. The number should changed though, I was also surprised when i caught myself as "senior member".
