I really like the butterfly tat. I have one that I just had redone on my upper chest. I originally got a rose when I was 19 and it faded over time so I got it colored over with a blue hibiscus. I know I posted a pic. of it on here somewhere so I'll have to dig it up.
If you get it on a fleshy area it hurts less than right near the bone where the nerves are closer to the skin (ankles, wrists etc....)
It is annoying more than painful. Imagine rubbing your skin really hard over and over in the same area. It feels like that. The tattoo artist will stop whenever you ask to take a breath although they do have to stop every 10 seconds or so to wipe away the blood (minimal amounts - don't worry).
