Natalie is your husband veg? Mac and cheese and fried okra, while it sounds pretty good to me, would not qualify as a meal for my carnivorous other half.

No he's not....but he's loving a lot of yummies I whisk up in my kitchen which in this set up usually calls for the forman grill & pork chops for him as a "side" but he does well w/out meat too (and diggs the Okra lemme tell ya that's ONE thing we fight over in the house no matter how much I fry up)

Were you talking to me Angel? The Halushki? Take a head of cabbage, core it, slice it into pieces. Quarter the head and slice the quarter in to smaller pieces and saute with onions in butter. You can substitute olive oil or non stick spray but butter is the old fashioned way. You know the grand folks. Once it's cooked down put it over wide egg noodles that you cooked already all in a big bowl and mix it all up. Then add in cottage cheese and stir it all up. Simple, tasty, and if you don't use too much butter like the old folks it's pretty healthy too.

Ok, let's see if I can remember. Dice up about a half an onion, saute it in oil. Add a cup of uncooked rice, a can of Rotel tomatoes and green chilis, a small can of tomato sauce and a cup of chicken broth. Cook on medium heat for about 45 minutes. Watch to make sure the rice doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan or dry up.
