I generally shy away from posting the more intimidating metal stuff around, but this song is seriously ridiculously awesome so here it goes. The YouTube mix doesn't really do it justice; the effect of having the one guitar play the higher tremolo picked lines while the other plays the lower-pitched staccato tremolo riffs on opposite sides of the stereo mix is really fantastic on the actual recording. Also, the Steve Tucker era of Morbid Angel is totally underrated compared to the early David Vincent material.

There's no shame in listening to metal! Right now I'm listening to "Abstract Art" by Born Of Osiris. Love this song because when you first listen to it, you think "what in the world are they doing and how are they keeping in time?"

But now... Wow. Yes. Listen.

Oh I post metal in this thread on a regular basis, but I usually refrain from stuff that'll frighten children and give old ladies heart attacks like Morbid Angel, haha.

I'm not much of a deathcore/metalcore fan, though. Born of Osiris are certainly some talented dudes but the music just doesn't do much for me.

Can't say I'm really all that familiar with Trivium but from what I have heard they aren't really for me, I don't think.

Here's my last.fm:

It's not a perfect representation of my listening as it doesn't include stuff I listen to on my mp3 player or in the car or anything like that, but it's still pretty close.
