First off, it saddens me that this thread is buried so deep in the forum. Don't you guys listen to music anymore?

Anyway, my interest in metal has continued as strong as ever. I'll post one that's probably a bit easier to stomach than a few of the ones I posted a while back.

YouTube - Primordial - The Coffin Ships

This is my favorite Primordial song. I realize it's really long and the intro takes quite a while (and is probably the least interesting part of the song) but once it gets going it's amazing. It's been a long time since a song affected me on an emotional level like this. Amazing stuff!

Aw man, I'm sorry, I tried, I really did. I lasted a Whole 4min. and 59 seconds!!! Serious, where is my award???LOL! Please don't take offense. I'm old !!!In my day it was "SteppenWolf" "Magic carpet ride" Now I challenge you to do the same for me as I did for you. Come home from your party and play this song, It's obviously on you tube and try to last as long, if not longer than I did and tell me what you think. I really do see a similarity here!!! Cheers!

"Bad boys bad boys, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they comin' for you?"

[what can I say, Cops is my latest addiction]

But the song that's been stuck in my head literally since I woke up this morning is Rihanna "SOS".

Who can't make it all the way through "Magic Carpet Ride"? That song's classic and even the album version's only like 4.5 minutes!

If you thought a ten minute Primordial song was rough, I can do much worse. For example, the band Sleep released an album that's a single 63 and a half minute song. Groooooooooovy.

Jethro Tull has a song that is 43 minutes long-it's not an instrumental either. Ian sings throughout the song.

I am not joking... I absolutely love your taste in music. I prefer more natural vocals, but the instrumental behind the vocals is amazing. Very cool song and awesome lyrics, with meaning none the less. All 9 minutes and 58 seconds worth.

You go much harder than I do in my musical tastes. I am more of a Disturbed sort of guy, with Maiden roots. What am I listening to today, right now, while typing these words???....

"Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter" is probably the best song on that whole album but in general, Maiden sort of lost me after Seventh Son.
