I need a new job. I worked for JoAnn Fabric and Crafts for a year and a few months- I quit because I didn't enjoy having a job an hour and a half away from school.

I have a B.A. in philosophy with a physics minor and an A.S. in physics. Next year I'll be going back to school to start my Ph.D. (probably getting an M.A. along the way). I want to be a professor. I want to be one of those hip old dudes who wears jeans and band shirts with a tweed jacket with those leather elbow patches to work. That'd be the sweet life.

As for now I'm riding out the last of my student loan money and looking for a job. I've worked a few odd jobs before but did a pretty long stint at Blockbuster (worst job ever) and more recently did accounting for a parts department at a Ford dealership.

I'm a Civil Court Clerk - the only job I've ever had where I can say I DON'T want people I know to see me.I process divorces, probate and civil lawsuits all day. I also work part time on the weekends doing prudct demonstrations at grocery stores (oh and I sell AVON but I don't really make any money there).

I have a degree in BioChemistry, which I worked in R&D in a computer chip manufacturing company for years until they went under, so then I moved to a small down and got the first job I could and I"ve been there 9 years (10 this December).

I am currently going to school for Human Resources/Business management (gratuating in June!) - still on the fence about getting my masters. What I'd really like to do is work in a corporate job training managers - which means eventually moving to a bigger city, and possible out of state.

I have two daughters 13 and 5. My oldest is smart, funny, and great at writing. My youngest is beautiful and has autism and related spectrum disorders which keeps me on on a regimented schedule. We started fishkeeping because my daughters OT said it would be a great way to introduce stimuli. On good days she loves the fish, on bad days she wont even get near the tanks.

Right now I am at a community college getting an A.S. in Science. Once I graduate I want to get a Bachelors in a field as close to Zoology as I can. The problem is there is no Zoology programs anywhere close to where I live. So I am going to try to get into a college near my parent's house to get an Ecology and Evolution General sciences Major (which has a tonnn of animal related courses in the program and the program says it is good for people who might want to work in zoos or hands on with animals)

Ever since I was young I have been animal crazy and knew I wanted to do SOMETHING related to animals in my future job. I worked as a vet tech for 4 yrs. but I have always been crazy about wild animals (even had my bedroom decorated in a jungle theme growing up) and decided working with wild animals in some way was how I wanted to spend my life in my job.

How did you like being a vet tech ThePearlFish? I was thinking about doing that also because I love animals, but I've heard they don't get paid much and you can't really go on from there except if you want to become a Vet. But it sounds like you can do Zoology too.

A woman that works on cars. God bless ya Neelie. To bad for the Irish not taking kindly to female car technicians. What could be better?

I spent last year at the Art Institute of Portland working towards a bachelor's degree in media arts and animation until I remembered just how much school wasn't for me and have since taken the past year off (even though I've begun enrolling for this Fall).

The main reason for deferring was so I could finish an indie flash game a friend and I are making and planning on selling this Summer. I made a promotional poster a few days ago actually which you can see here:

Lol. I'm hoping it does well, because I'd like to be able to dedicate more time afterward to another flash game someone else and I have already started developing - concepts and such. Otherwise it'll be 100% school until I get my degree. And then who knows what.
