Sounds yummy. I'll have to try it out when I do enchiladas next. Thanks for sharing!

Roasted Hatch New Mexico green chiles. The best in the world. You gotta try them

I love the smell of roasting green chiles! MMMMMM! I used to come home for lunch when I was in high school and my mom would be roasting green chiles.

I've been meaning to start cooking, you guys are really pushing that thought along lol
I don't think I've ever craved anything lately, but what does some comforting is j. walker black + coke.
Edit: actually my grandma makes some MEAN meatballs, and russian piroghi with potatoes.

Number one comfort food for me is Pancakes smothered in butter and syrup or Grape jelley.
Number two would have to be, Peach cobbler still warm, with Ice cream.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.

The easiest peach cobbler ever: butter up a dutch oven. Dump in a big can of peach pie filling. Pour a box of yellow cake mix over the top of that. Put a few pats of butter on top of that to keep it moist. Stick it in a nice hot fire (I guess you could use an oven, but that's for wimps).

My favorite comfort food isn't really easy, I guess. I love chili. I'm pretty good at making it. In fact, I made a big batch today as we had that big snowstorm and it seemed perfect for the occasion. Cubed sirloin, ground pork, chorizo sausage, regular chili powder, ancho chili powder, plenty of cumin and Mexican oregano, salt, a bit of cayenne, plenty of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, jalapenos, corn, kidney, white and black beans, (lots of) onions and garlic, tomato paste, a can of crushed tomatoes and a can of whole tomatoes crushed by hand. Sometimes random other ingredients will get tossed in for good measure. Let it simmer all day. Serve with fresh cornbread, top with sour cream, chopped red and green onions and cheddar cheese.

Oh yeah... made with Grand Marnier and Cuervo Gold instead of reg. tequila and triple sec.

Rocks and salt too :)
