I'm glad the mountains are getting snow. then there won't be water shortages this summer.

Beautiful pictures, Amphitrite. I love to view pictures of the snow & ski on it (Cody-took a snowboard lesson when I was Mammoth two weeks ago ). I'm just so happy I don't live in it!

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

Well I was hoping it would snow more overnight but it hasn't - it's completely frozen over now. That's going to be fun walking to work in this morning.. not!

I remember when I was a kid we lived in an area that got it pretty bad each winter and we used to get snowed in at some point most years, it was great! No such luck now though since work is within walking distance

Gorgeous pictures! We didn't have any snowfall that looked that good this year. At least, not yet. We did get some nasty ice though. I'm hoping for a real snow - a foot or more I mean - before the season's up.

i think there are only two things i like about the snow. pretty it can be. quiet it seems to make the area.
hope you got a nice hot chocolate to thaw you out after. :)
I know what you mean about the quiet! It must be all of those crazy jagged angles of the surface of the snow scattering the sound waves all around so there's less reflection off hard surfaces. It's eerie yet pretty how silent the world seems after a heavy snow.

When we had our ice storm last week, the ice covered the trees and when the sun finally came out, it made the trees look like crystal. It was pretty but sure did a lot of damage.

No, sorry. :( I don't have a digital camera. It was really pretty though, as long as you didn't have to go out in it. lol

i'm sure i was born in the wrong place,i'm really a warm weather person.
having said that,i do lolve to watch the snow falling, and the heavinly silence it provides,
and looking at peoples fab pictures.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
