Forever Pet Turkey. We had a bronze tom turkey before for about 3-4 years.

P.S. We figured out this turkey is also a bronze not a calico.

ZOMG CUTE!

Is a pet turkey just for companionship? I feel like pet chickens have become somewhat hip right now, for the fresh organic eggs. I don't think people eat turkey eggs though :S

I'd have a handful of chickens for the eggs, if i could. Unfortunately Carlsbad has a city ordinace that states no poulty keeping. San Marcos doesn't have it so I regularly make the trip over to my friend's house to grab some eggs. She keeps 11 hens and a bantam rooster. Pretty cool.

I wish I could keep chickens! My husband's family used to keep ducks and they used their eggs all the time. I'm in a townhouse though. :( Someday I'll have all the animals I want! And I think I'll start with a Silkie! Fuzzy! :D
