The link I posted previously regarding the interview, Brett goes over how Animal Planet tapes it for the reality/comedy version of the show, but next season Brett hopes they show that they "arent just filling tanks from tap". It seems its just the way Animal Planet edits the show for entertainment, which I can see from that stand point. But for me, a channel called Animal Planet who normally does educational things, should put a bit more thought into the fact that this show is going to inspire people to become fish keepers, and they might get the wrong idea of how it is done. As the clients that ATM deals with also generally probably purchase weekly to monthly care packages where ATM employees go to their home or business and do the regular maintenance such as water changes, chemicals when needed, and so on. So that the tank purchaser only has to feed the fish. It is also super expensive. We have a couple of specialized aquarium stores here that are full service, freshwater, saltwater, brackish, pond, and 10 gallons to 30,000 gallons. It is expensive, and for a rich busy person it works nice. But for me, it also takes something away from the hobby and makes it impersonal.
