I live in Tuscaloosa, which is central alabama.
I'm lucky.. I just have no power, no cable, and a boil water warning...

This was filmed less than 1/2 from where I live. (basically a 10 minute walk)

I've been following this on the news but until I just watched your aerial footage I had no idea how widespread the destruction was. This is just awful.

I'm really glad that you are ok. I can't even imagine what it must feel like to be living through such a disaster.

Luckily (as far as I know), all my friends and family are fine.. Just a little damage here and there (roofing tiles, etc.)

Still makes you realise the impact when you hear other people talking though... Certain areas were basically untouched, while others are simply gone...
It'll be a while before it sinks in for pretty much everyone here. There's whole areas that are sectioned off due to downed lines, gas leaks, etc.. Volunteers, plumbers, roofers, etc aren't even allowed in at the moment.

Wow!! Was on a fishing trip near Auburn during the storm. We got a horrible thunder wind storm that night we were lucky! Saw the devastation only miles away.. Gladd you are OK!! Role Tide!!
