I have tried spam, and it is really good. I love how thin it is. The only problem is that is is processed to death and carries almost no nutrients, and that I start to feel 'icky' when I eat too much of it. I basically just eat it whenever I REALLY want it and not regularly.
I eat spam on long trips. I don't mean vacations...I mean backpacking or canoeing expeditions. It's a nice addition to freeze-dried macaroni.

Okiemavis: a friend of mine is vegetarian but absolutely loved bacon before he made the switch. He sulks whenever anyone around him eats something with bacon in it. So, as sort of a joke, I bought him a package of strawberry flavored gummy bacon. He just called to let me know how much of a jerk I am, as it turns out he can't even eat that due to the gelatin content.
As much as I like veggies, I gotta have my meat. I guess I'm just a meat and 'tater kind of guy.
One of the best deals in the whole world is to grab a salt shaker and head to the garden. Eat tomatoes, kohlrabi, turnips, green peppers, and green onions raw.
we used to have spam fritters when we were children,
we were kinda poor,so they were a god send, especially when the dog
that my dad bought home ate the small joint of beef that
mum had scrapped together the momey for.
