Kymmie- do you shave Gunner yourself or take her to a salon?? Diesels well behaved at the groomers so I kind of want to try to shave him myself rather than drop $200/year on grooming.
This will be his third lion cut, he had his first two last summer. Where I take him the groomer has me sit at the table with her to help hold him. It works really good because it helps keep him calm and comforted and I don't have to just drop him off some place and worry about how they treat him.
Heres last years Lioncut. Can you tell he loves it?
That is so crazy adorable!! You can tell that Diesel loves it!!
Gunner doesn't go to the groomer, the groomer comes to my home. I use a mobile grooming service as I don't want to stress Gunner by having her ride in the car (she HATES it) and then being in a place where there are dogs barking.
I have my own clippers and do my dog Doc myself, but I wouldn't even want to attempt to do Gunner. She's very well behaved but the problem is the skin on a cat is like tissue paper. It is very easy to cut them if you're not incredibly skilled with clippers. The toughest and trickiest part is where the front of the back leg meets the underbelly. Gunner has been nicked three different times in that area and that was by seasoned professionals!
The gal I use now (Sherri) is awesome and she's never come close.
Cats are tricky to do and I'm not that brave. Out of curiousity, what does Diesel's lion cut cost?
