That's a tough one. I don't know if I could stand to lose a dog every few years. And no-one would be here to let it out to pee or poop for all the time we're gone. We have 4+ hours of commuting each day

Wow thats alot of drive time not to mention I bet a small fortune in gas with the way things are the days! Maybe someday you can either move closer to your work or your work will move close to you.

It's only 35 mins of driving to the train station then i hop on a train to Boston. We just moved away from the craziness a year ago so we gave up convenience for a great home in the woods. The market was right and we figured it was time to get out of dodge.

I just had an idea if your house is fenced in maybe you could get a doggie door. LOL Not trying to be pushy but it maybe a way for you to get a dog if you really want one.
