Shark Week 2008

Hi everyone, Lupin just gave me the OK to create this thread... the official thread for Shark Week 2008 which is already underway and will run through August 2nd. :D

Check out www.sharkweek.com for more info and some fun stuff like Shark Yourself!

Feel free to talk about any of the shows being aired, what you want to see next year, and any questions you may have. I will continually revisit with new materials to share with you guys too, so stay tuned!

Tonight at 9 p.m. is the premiere of Mysteries of the Shark Coast. This is actually on right now if you're on the East Coast, so check it out! In this special scientists look to figure out why sharks along Australia's northeastern coast are disappearing...

Here are some images from the special:

Happy Shark Week, everybody! I hope you all have been enjoying it so far. 8)

I love shark week! Last night I managed to catch most of the Mythbusters shark week episode. Very cool stuff. Apparently, neither magnets nor habanero peppers make good shark repellent.

I'm ready for the pressure.
The drama and the pleasure!
If there is one thing I want to see here, it's HUMOR.
I believe I can fly!
I believe I can touch the sky!
I think about it every night and day!
I stand in awe of my body.

Haha, yeah! Funny how the shark just ate up the peppers. If you want to catch the rest of it you'll have another chance... Saturday, August 2nd, at 6 p.m. it's airing again.

I have an EX- Mother in Law that no self respecting shark would dare Bite. Always amazed at those who venture into their midst. Closest I have came to such foolishness was Hand Fishing for freswater flathead Catfish. Only took once for the novelty to wear off.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.

Hey, so what did everyone think about Shark Week? I think the MythBusters episode was my personal favorite, especially when they blew up the air tank haha… I’m excited to see new episodes from those two – Wednesdays at 9 PM if you’re watching with me :) It looks like they’re going to be blowing up steak and pushing the limits of angry drivers this week, woohoo!

Apparently punching them in the nose is a good shark repellent. Lol that obviously requires getting close though. But this girl went in with like a bucket of chum behind her and these sharks cam up to her but she... I think I remember it being a woman. And she punched them in the nose, then they swam away but came back but after a couple times of punching them they just swam away. They are looking for an easy meal not a fight.

Oh and I missed all of shark week. I only saw this post now. I wasn't even aware it was shark week... The only time I watch tv is when I go to my friends house and its on in the background... Or if theres really nothing to do I'll watching animal planet or discovery. Thats it lol, I hate tv.

And just before you laid dead weight upon its shores, I stung you in the face for that's the nature of my core.
