Sea hares!

Not sure whether I should've put this in the inverts forum, being a marine invert, or here because it's not in a tank, but I found these off the lagoon beach today!

And a video of them in the container I put them temporarily in before letting them go

I live at the beach and I've never seen those before. Maybe they only live on the east coast?? What interesting creatures!

Interestingly enough, I've never seen those before either. Mainly all I see in the lagoon are shrimp, mullet, herrings, and the occasional stingray (Remember the stingray shuffle!)

Haven't heard anything about them, but after doing a little reserch, they seem to resemble Bursatella Leachii, or the Ragged Sea Hare... Can't find much else about it, except one guy posted on his website that it's "uncommonly found beached in northeast Florida", so whether that means it's an uncommon creature in florida, or just it doesn't get washed up much...

Those critters sure move fast for some slugs. Very cool.

Very Cool. I know our reef club had a few that would get passed around amongst the members. From my understanding, They are great algae grazers, but would starve to death in a aquarium environment.
