People in real life won't take my advice but people here will. I gave my own mother advice several years back when she was president of our homeowners association. She wouldn't take it but when someone else gave her the same exact advice she took it. On a forum like this you'll get all kinds of opinions and advice. You just need to take everything with a grain of salt. If you aren't going to take the advice at least say thank you and move on.
Jentrala, today I accidentally came across another one of your posts where you said that you were a teenager, and I have been feeling bad ever since. I am a parents of 2 grown kids and 1 teenager, and only my teenager has the heart for animals that you do. I would be really sad if someone jumped his case for trying to find a way to protect them. I do think it's important to watch out that your enthusiasm for animals doesn't become an excuse to be rude to somebody for not housing fish the way you know is right, i.e., for getting into their business more than is courteous. But teenagers are creatures of extremes, and I don't want to dampen your passion or make you scared to voice your opinion. So hang in there, and I'll be more careful next time.
Do you know what my 21 year old son said to me over Christmas when he was home?
I said to him, "I'm so sick of Itunes sending me stupid emails about what CD "so and so" has out... I wish I could set my Itunes "profile" to be "Business" and not "15 year old girl" so that they send me business app suggestions." He said,... "Mom you are old! No one is selling to you! Get that into your head right now! No one cares what you want. " Ya he did!!
Little brat!
