Puh what a sad day

My neighbors dog of 20 yrs age wasn't doing good the past days and neither was my neighbor so as every day I went to check on them this AM and it was time....I drove her and her hubby & dog to the Vet in town and doggy had to go to sleep so I tried my best to be 'there for them' today but really anyone who's ever been in this situation knows what I mean when I say there ain't nothing anyone can do when they loos their baby and 20yrs is been a LONG time with their baby.

Honestly its touching me a lot more then I thought it would this whole day I knew I had to be there for them so I pulled myself together but being home now I just cuddled up with my 2 dogs and had to let a lil river of tears go loose there......

That is just rough. We had to put down a Corgi that wasn't even a year old one time. One of the saddest things I've ever been through. I feel your pain.

I had to put my Snoopy down when he was lil older then 10 and knew what she & her hubby would be going through I wanted to help which was a good idea cause neither 1 of them could drive afterwards - But I have to admit touched me more then I thought it would bringing back memories.

I have tears in my eyes just reading this. Putting a pet down is one of the most heartbreaking things anyone ever has to do.

I'm so sorry. :( My family had to put down our dog on our vacation 6 or 7 years ago. It was just horrible.

sorry you had to go through that. I haven't had to go thru that yet, but I know someday I will and I'm not looking forward to it....

So sad. Upsets me just thinking about it. I've had to put down 2 dogs and my bunny rabbit in my time. It's never easy. That was very sweeet of you to drive them to town so they could both spend the last few minutes with their baby. You are a very good person indeed.

Well I just always look at other people situation and think what would help me was I in there shoes - And in such a moment being alone I can tell you from 1st hand exp is pretty devastating... I guess I just try each & every day to be the person to others I'd like to come across my way to know what I mean?

I'll hijack here 2mrw and drag her to her fav book store I know that'll take her mind off of things too. Thou her hubby was pretty dang devastated himself and I donno what I'll do with him just yet for tomorrow to get his mind focused elsewhere too....
