Presumption of having seen it?

I was about to post about a movie I watched the other night but kept editing my post to take out things that might spoil the movie for others who haven't seen it yet. By the time I was through it wasn't much of a post. :P

Since if we limit what we say to "protect" those who haven't seen something it prevents a topic/discussion about a movie from having much meat, and since those who haven't seen something presumably can't add much meat to such a discussion anyway, should we have a presumption that those who read a topic about a movie will have seen it so that we're free to talk about it and our thoughts on it in detail?

What do you guys think?

I think some people will read posts about movies they haven't seen yet just to see if other people think it's worth watching. Whenever I talk about the actual content of a movie that might spoil it for people who haven't seen it yet, I just do like this:

Blah blah blah, the main character dies in the end, blah blah.

It seems to work in general.
