Sylver, I hear you about not being able to get tall enough to get things out of the way. But cropping is a great way to get rid of extra things around the sides of your shots. Some of the photos I posted are old and could use a good crop to get rid of peripheral things. The ones from Germany and Switzerland were like a few weeks after I got my new camera so I was still learning the ropes.

I haven't gone through and really looked at my pictures from Dec and Nov. So I'll go look at those now and see if I can find some good ones.

Figured I should post my next round of photos and keep this going!

Red houses with white trim. You see these EVERYWHERE in Sweden. My boyfriend explained that there are a lot of iron (or some metal) mines around Sweden, and a red paint was the byproduct of smelting the iron (or some other process--I'm not a geologist/engineer). Because it was soo cheap everyone painted their houses like that. So it sorta became tradition. This house was way out in the country; we'd gone on a hike to find edible mushrooms.

Beaufort, NC harbour

Chipmunk in the snow! It was the first snow of the year during my first year at college, and I just happened to be at the right place at the right time with my camera!

Sleepy kitty! She does this all the time.

It's not my photography, but this is my favorite portrait of me. Last year in Sweden, my boyfriend and I took another cruise, but this time we had a window view. It was like the perfect size for me to fit in, so he snapped a picture.

Nice. I love the chipmunk in the snow. lol And I have to say, that photo Nilet699 had of the girl laying on her face next to the jellyfish in the sand made me laugh so hard. That needs to go in a calendar or something. xD

I have some more. :3 Obviously I take far too many photos of my pets.

Now then, I figure I should take a note from Koi's cat...I have a few of those as well...I may have shown these before, but I can't recall:

This is when we moved to Kentucky temporarily and slept in a chair in a friend's hallway for about three months...it was hot, we had no AC...I wish I could find the photo of Leo sleeping ontop of my fan.

This also in Kentucky during the heat wave of BAH. My friend's kitten loved Leo, she was so wild and crazy, always tackling him out of nowhere, and he reprimanded her...she's currently throwing a fit. lol All he did was sit on her and lick her face and then he saw fireflies out the window and ignored her. She was such a cute kitten, kinda a brat though. =p

And this was the very first photo I ever took of Leo. This was the day I adopted him. He was always in the window for the first few months. He was dumped in a shelter because, and I quote his owners "He wouldn't stay off the counters." =-= So the poor thing was stuck for six months in a shelter. A kill shelter too, they liked him and gave him more time.

lol I'm not sure if this will even show up very well. My dog was watching me eat...I felt something staring...and I only had my webcam available. It was too funny. He's not one to beg unless it's french fries or steak...in this case it was french fries. xD

And last but certainly not least...See if you can make out my dog under the giant willow. This is when we were working on his "Stay" command and his "Come" as well, he did it perfectly....except he tackled me he was so happy to be back next to me.
