LOl..no it is a reference to the Head dress of a Hawkheaded parrot resembling that of an Indian chief. Cochise was a famous Apache Indian chief~ Cochise — History.com Articles, Video, Pictures and Facts

-attempts to move in with keepsmiling- I wish I was allowed that many animals. :3 I don't think I'll ever have birds though, unless I'm raising or rehabilitating them, which I do with wild birds on occasion...haven't in a while. Last one I rehabilitated took a chunk out of me(Mister Falcon did not like humans, which was GOOD), and grandma said enough was enough. LOL But I will say this, my success rate with raising orphaned youngsters and injured birds was about 98-99%. Of all the probably hundreds I've cared for, I've only ever lost five. A dove who had been injured by a cat, a sparrow who had been injured by a dog, a brand new baby robin who was born too young because someone knocked him out of the nest as an egg, mom was never found(I suspected a cat had gotten her and knocked the eggs from the nest, she had it on a tree only about five feet up). And a magpie who had been injured by a hawk. And a pigeon...who my disgusting butthole brother tried to kill by hitting it with a wrench for getting into his workplace, that one cost a bundle and a feather to get his broken wing repaired, unfortunately he had so much damage to his head and neck, they told me it was iffy but I tried anyways, he survived for a week before I decided enough was enough and had him put to sleep since the swelling refused to go down and he went from being mostly ok, to not being able to stand properly. That was a sweet bird though. =(
Oh wait, six, I forgot about the young starling I pulled from the creek, he could not recover and died overnight.

Yeah, those are the only birds I get, they call me the bird lady. I'd rather never have any predatory birds again. It's not too hard to keep your hands off the others while they get fixed up or something(babies need their wings exercised). They bite damn hard even through protection, and they have a grip that leaves nasty bruised through thick leather. Thankfully I've only had the misfortune to be brought a hawk and a falcon found by good samaritans. I much prefer to fix up the less deadly raptors...LOL

You would not believe the creatures people used to bring me. o-o I think the most outrageous one was...some guy knocked on my door at like three am with an unconcious raccoon in his grip. He ASKED if it was MINE, I said "Whaaat? Why would I own a raccoon?" o_o He said he thought it was a dog and he had hit it with his car, and asked me if I was sure it wasn't mine, and then asked if I'd care for it. >>; Oh I cared for it alright. -cough- It was just stunned. Or at least it showed to be when I had it in a carrier and it woke up. Suffice to say I let it go instead of risking the rest of the walk to the vet. xD

Yeah, we need a storytime thread. I think I wrote another book. o-o I don't have any good photos right now. =(

Yeah I know, sucky photo...this is Ren only a week or so after I got her, still on her mushy baby food that looks like...well, poo. >_>; She liked it so hey. She was so hot, I had the fan aimed at her, she fell half out of the hammock and just laid there. I couldn't get a better photo without waking her, I tried...^^;

Grandma was right, she was ratty looking when she was a baby...but oh so cute and fuzzy! This was her FIRST time out when not with me...well, not ON me. You can see she's like "What is THIS!? Whoah..." She was not sure how to walk on this soft thing called a bed and blankets. LOL
I had these delusions since I was like five years old, for those of you that don't know...that was 20 years before I got my critters...That I'd one day have a ferret, a sleepy weasel...that I could carry around all the time and not have issues, and even put in a pack and walk around with it...>_>; That did not happen, she's a monster, so is Cooper, they're all for play, who needs SLEEP?

LOL Whenever Leo was intrigued by something, or wanted something, he'd turn his head to the side. Ren wanted his attention, and since she couldn't get him to come down, she decided to kill my shower mat...which got his attention.

Come on, she's trying so hard to get him to play! How can anyone resist? :3 You see now why she needed another ferret to play with...CRAZY baby she was.

And now he's lost interest...she hasn't!

I missed her last resort...the paw grab.

Hehe. ^_^ And this is the two of them last...January I think, only a short while before Leo passed away. She's full grown now, not so skinny and scruffy, and always, ALWAYS trying to just BE next to Leo. It's so cute when she does that. She occasionally does it to our dog too. I SWEAR she's not as big as she looks, she's actually considered VERY small even for a sprite, or spayed female ferret. That angle did wonders to make her look big though, she'll appreciate that!

Every year since I have been married to my wife, we go to Disney as a vacation. It was our honeymoon and every family vacation thereafter. We go in either September or December (and alternate), so there is a "party" in the Magic Kingdom for the respective holidays: Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP).

Here is a picture at the 2011 MNSSHP of myself, my wife and my son as Gipetto, the Blue Fairy and Pinnochio from (you guessed it!) the Disney movie Pinnochio:

This year we are going again to the MNSSHP and are planning on Alice in Wonderland. I will be the Mad Hatter and am fired up to wear the hat.

For the record though, I personally like the Christams Party better...

You've inspired me! Here's my little Alice and White Rabbit from two Halloweens ago. Too lazy to upload fresh, they're tagged to my blog (really have to get posting on there again, it's been sooooo long). Alice has a pretty little key and a 'drink me' bottle made from a glass spice jar filled with glitter (that is still sitting on my desk as I type this) I can never just choose one pic, they're so CUTE! *biased*
^.^
