I agree! Chesh, those photos are beautiful...I want that cat! He looks like trouble, but he also looks sweet and intelligent...but I've learned the ones that LOOK smart, are usually airheads with only the occasional clever thing done. lol

How did you do photos like that? =o

And yeah..that little black dog reminds me of my mothers dog with that LOOK. Gizmo used to give me that look all the time. e.e; The dog used to hate me for some reason. All for my mother and nobody else, he'd bite you for hugging her because she let him, but if anyone reprimanded him and told him no, he'd give you that LOOK like you did something horrible! We get along better now though. He's discovered that I am nice to him, and now that his mom is remarried and he gets less attention, I am now the cool person.

Here's Gizmo and Benni, first meet---second meeting actually. lol I forgot, soon as we got home with the kitten everyone went out somewhere and there was nobody to put the dogs outside! So they met me at the door and hissing happened. About a month later Benni was over his fear of dogs and was all for rough-housing with Gizmo, who was surprisingly tolerant for a pup with attitude.

Here's Boomer, Gizmo and Benni. xD Yeah, musta been the mail man! Boomer and Gizmo actually like the mailman/woman. Benni just likes to think he's a dog, even wags his tail.

I got this costume for him when I went to WVA to spend Christmas with my boyfriend and his family...I could not resist, he IS a little devil, and he looked the part in it for Halloween. Unfortunately he went to cuddle with a kid and the kid screamed and ran away, he looked so forlorn and was depressed the rest of the night. xD

And Gizmo and Benni, when Benni was still smaller than him. He's bigger than him now. Gizmo is a Pug/Pomeranian mix, by the way. He really is sweet now that he has someone responsible training him...and he's got lovely colors, but I have to say, the poor guy has such a messed up face. Severe under-bite, really bad lazy-eye, bow-legged in the front AND back because of his pugness on a small dog-frame....he doesn't drool, which is normally good, but it gives him the worst breath, and just recently he lost about eight teeth and we don't know what happened there, I assume it's because of how his mouth is(they were removed by a vet, they didn't fall out or anything ^^)....Yeah, poor guy got the short end of the gene pool, but he's still a nice dog.

I still think he looks like an evil little thing...But Boomer is cute at least. LOL

Recognize him? I chose that cut for him because he would just get SO hot in the summer! He looks like a puppy, I like him better with this cut. lol

And of course I had to get some more puppy photos of Sadie. I kept her last night. She sure is a smart pup, I taught her how to sit, come and lay down, all by the second or third try. ^_^ She's just so bouncy, I don't think she could stop bouncing if she had to, just constant wiggle and partial hops.

She has such a cute face, I can't stand it! This puppy is so sweet and cute, she gives you those LOOKS...and it always makes me giggle like an insane person. x.x

After all that fun yesterday, we had a small family gathering for dinner, she was bushed. Only took her about a minute to pass out, and she slept the night through too. She's practically doubled in size since the last time I kept her! I don't think that was even a week ago. You should see her with my nephew, he's almost two...and he's so good with her, she's good with him for a pup too, bit wild...and he still tries to pick her up and sit on her, but I think he's the best kid of his age I've ever seen around pets. He's always "Puppy puppy!" and she runs over to wiggle about and cuddle. x) So cute.

Ah, I know I'm spamming again...got some new photos in. But my battery died before I could get too many, I wanted some of Boomer and Benni to show off. lol Boomer kept moving around though, and the battery taosted with the shot of Benni. I interrupted his cleaning, he looks a tad annoyed. xD

Unfortunately both photos of Boo came out smeared because he kept moving. He's got a haircut I don't like, too short in the face, but because of his surgeries he had such matted fur! Our groomer tried to even it out, he still looks good. =)

I said "Look here, Boo!" and he's like "I'ma commin ma!" lol

And Alanna...it was cold and she found my coats.

Awww. . . SUCH cute little furballs, Sylver! I have such a soft spot for orange cats. . .especially FLUFFY ones, lol.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. . .

You can't have my Oni! I love him and I would cry for years if he left. He must be the exception to the rule, he's REALLY smart, and amazing at getting his way, lol.

Toots. . . the black dog, is so ridiculously HER. It gets worse with age. Luckily, she's never snarled or bit anyone, ever. Which is good, because there are too many small children here on a daily basis, and she would have to be re-homed if there was even a chance that she'd snap at a kid. . . I'm hoping she stays as she has always been now that she's really starting to show her age.

Haha, no I mean that background all mirrored-like with dark in the back. My room is always so cluttered, I don't have anywhere to hang my coats and my clothes live in a basket since I have no dresser. It'd be nice to shut out my backgrounds without messing up the photo, in fact yours look amplified in awesome. Unless it was completely on accident like that one good photo I got of Capone that came out looking like it was just him in the dark. I dunno how I got that shot, it was mid-day with a window open and the sun shining in. lol

Oh my. . . "amplified in awesome!!?" Gotta admit, I'm liking your brand of flattery, girl!

Not an accident, but I'm still working on finding the right balance in my shots. LOL, sorry. . . I have no big secret - 'tis nothing but a draped black bed sheet with a piece of plexiglass on top. . . I rock ghetto-fab. . . ^.^

It's not *quite* as simple as that, though. Photography is, in essence, painting with light. If you get the light right, you can do anything. I do NOT have ideal lighting, so black is my friend, it hides things I want hidden, fades into a backround, and pops the subject into the foreground. The Plexi allows you to see the ground line - without it, the subjects can sometimes appear to float in mid-air. Cool effect, not usually what I'm after. . . plus I love the shiny reflection, too. ;)

When I grow up, I'll have a real setup. . . with fancy equipment that will break just cuz I looked at it funny, and my own darkroom (again. broke my heart to give up my enlarger when we moved *sigh*). Also? A castle. . . Until then? BEDSHEETS FTW!!!

Wow, I somehow missed your pet pics Jes; I love them! What a bunch of cute, furry faces. I loved your descriptions of those faces, too. It sounds like that saying "dogs have masters, cats have staff" around your house. Although sometimes my two cats act like dogs in that they follow me around the house. Makes me laugh when I'm ready to go to bed and there the two of them are laying on the bedroom floor in anticipation...of what, I don't know, as they are not allowed on the bed.
