These are pictures of a pond, but not mine. It's my grandmother's neighbor's pond in Ohio. The backyards are very small and don't have fences. Her neighbor is a widow who recently started keeping fish (inside; the pond was her husband's baby). After we talked she said I could come over any time I wanted and stare at the pond because she knew what a difficult time my family was having. These pictures were taken the day after my grandfather died in September. I needed something to focus on, and I missed my own pond so much.
This was the whole pond (except the skimmer which is what I'm standing next to). I love the look of the lilies here. There are two waterfalls in there!
This is a close up on the right waterfall with some orange goldies.
Her fish were very social and eagerly came up to me when I offered food.
They were so cute!
There were also a few frogs in the pond. I found this one just chilling on a lily pad.
I was joined out at the pond by my grandmother's 10 year old golden retriever.
