I was actually a bit nervous about it not being "wedding-y" enough, but it turned out to be perfect and so many people complimented me about it after the wedding. There was another wedding the next day where the bride wore a long puffy gown and she refused to walk near or in the water. That's the fun part about getting married on a beautiful beach! So glad I went with a short dress. I love the picture of my husband's pants all wet from the water...hahaha. That's a classic.
I agree with you on the short dress for a beach wedding. I also got married on the beach in a short dress, but the dress was ecru, had a lace type bodice, looked a little "wedding-y" and I never wore it again. Your dress is the type you can wear again and how cool is that?!?

A long puffy gown on the beach? I bet her wedding party didn't get any good action pics like yours did. Once again, congrats!!

Thanks, Kymmie! That's also why I loved the dress. I can easily wear it again.

The girl who got married in the long dress, her wedding was more formal and her pictures were formal. I wanted fun, light-hearted pictures that we can look back on and laugh at years down the road. One of my favorites is in the group photo of everyone running and one of our guests stumbling in the sand. How can someone not laugh at that? hahaha! The pictures I posted are only a small snapshot of our wedding. The photographer took 308 pictures!!! Soo many to choose from!

Long dresses in general and the beach wedding just don't go together. I saw someone who got married on the beach with a long poofy dress and ended up ruining the dress because they went in the water for pics. I could not spend that much for a dress and ruin it like that. I loved your dress! It was unique, and that is the best part of it! :)

Thank you! I loved the flowers too. I was sooo impressed by them. They were actually complimentary from the resort for having our wedding there, and they were absolutely gorgeous! Around my area you'd pay $300 for a wedding bouquet of 24 roses. Mine were completely free. Destination Weddings are AWESOME! haha

Maybe I should get married again so I can go and have a fun time like you did! I've always wanted to go to Cancun. *envious*

Oh noooo, I was only joking about the getting married thing. I did it once, it didn't "stick", and once was enough for me. I will now be one of those "old ladies" who has a "boyfriend" well into her senior years. Luckily for me, the B/F has no interest in getting married either! But going to Cancun, yes, that's on the list! Maybe the resort has "Significant Other" Vow Renewal's? I really would like some of those flowers, they were beautiful! Yes, send me the info!
