hi Brie
sorry about the large picture,i'm having trouble up-loading pics.
anyway........
Birdie is a Meyers parrot.don't know the exact age,or sex,as this is a resued bird.
i do know that it is an adlut bird, because of the colouring of the eyes.
and i can't think of a name at the moment,so we just say Birdie.
Your love bird is beautiful,i had some many years ago,
but the noise was rather loud,so they were re-homed.
hope the eggs hatch, thats so nice to see.
i watched my Leopard Geckos eggs hatch and it was the best thing
i've seen in a long while.(sorry i know that's not quite the same.)
:)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

we live right next to a park that is masive, let them off and watch them go, i go to the bit that NO1 go to and also i can see if any other dogs are comming, withb these types of dog better safe that sorry, not saying my dogs are "hard" just other people dont like a some types of dog just running over, most people that we meet let there dogs have a good run around with mine, the only dog that is not good with other dogs (well no good with other males) is barny, even with this dog aggressiveness he has never had the chance to get into a fight (good ownership :) )

She lays eggs but I don't have a male lovebird so they never hatch. She just feels the need to be a mother :P But after a week or so she stops sitting on the eggs so I just take them out.

I love the photos of all of the dogs! When I'm at work at the pet store, the very best part is seeing all the dogs that come in with their "pet parents". I so love critters of all kinds; the cats are lovely also :) The pet store is such a happy place for me to have a part-time job (so different than my full-time job).

RE: the love bird, can you tell me anything about them? Do they get tame like parrots do? My daughter wants a parrot, but they are very expensive and long-lived. There are some very pretty lovebirds at the pet store I work at. I would appreciate any info you can give me :) The only birds I have owned before are parakeets and a canary.

You know what the definition of hobby is: something of interest that is going to cost you lots of money!

Hi Bolty, you are lucky to have well socialised dogs, mine fight, so i either take them on a leash, or go for walks on the cliffs or in the sugar cane fields as these tend to be deserted. Your staffie looks really great.[/quote]
