In most countries "great" gymnist dont even begin hard training till the age of 10 now if someone has been drilled in this training at the age of 6-7 then they can be sent in and do good at the age of 12 but do we want to encourage such behavoir? | I think that they are children and need to have childhoods and be out playing...not spend 8 hours a day a day in the training center plus whatever school they have but of course they don't go to public school because homeschooling them allows for a lot of leeway (I know some home schooled kids that are kept busy with other stuff most of the day, it doesn't do them any favors) so they probably don't bother with tutors anymore. Not to mention the injuries which can be extreme in all the sports these kids do nowadays...even high school cheerleaders work so hard at it that they rip their joints to shreds. There's gotta be a limit. I like watching this stuff but I also watched Little Girls in Pretty Boxes way too many times.
