If you're going to dream why not dream big? If I ever hit it rich you can be sure I'd be trying to figure out how to build a truly massive tank into my house, something in the 1,000+ gallon range.

You could have an aquarium like something you'd see at Sea World or somewhere.

I've never been impressed by Sea World's aquariums. I'm not bashing them, but they don't really keep an aquarium I'd copy. Virtually all their salt water displays are FOWLR or more like just FO with fake rock. I'd rather have something with live rock and corals in it in addition to the fish than just fish.

I meant like in size, not necessarily what they have in them.

Yeah, for sheer volume some of my ideas would be on par with Sea Worlds.

Heh, I've even toyed with the conceptual idea of a 25,000 gallon tank with a basement 10,000 gallon sump. The downside is you'd have to build a house around the tank and upkeep would be a full time job in and of itself. The upside, you'd have your own reef.

well tyy, if you were super rich, you could afford to build a house around a 25,000 gallon tank....you could also build a wing of the house for the cats to appease the wifey!

my fiancee is the same way, she's planning a wedding and I'm planning how to sneak in a 130 gallon aquarium without her noticing.....hmm.....

Well my girlfriend has contracted MTS!!!...........I think she caught it from me.........When we got together, she knew very little about any kind of fish...........Now i created a monster!!...........She surfs the web, looking for different types of fish that we dont have in the aquariums....(5 now, and i just bought 2 more tanks this past weekend)......I gave her the freedom to pick the stock list for these next 2 tanks........I expected her to be asking me all kinds of questions about compatibility, but she is doing all her own research and i commend her for it........This is what she came up with for the new 55 im gonna put in my den..........8 marble hatchets, 12 Cardinal tetras (taking 5 from another tank), 6 orange von rio tetras, 1 honey guorami, a few pair of endlers, and a school of some kind of cories.........I might have to adjust the numbers, but i think she made some wise choices........This is what i find funny though, she made the comment the other night that she wishes we would have a huge tank..........I think she is getting me a 265 for my birthday!!........Now that is love!!
