I nearly busted my rear trying to walk through the snow and ice to Petsmart to look for a heater for my new tank. They didn't have what I wanted so it was a waste of time.

My wife loves the cat, I love my fish. Not that I don't like the cat, but I won't hesitate to push him out of my chair when I want to sit down, my wife will find a different seat. I just tell her they're my cat and my hobby and she seems to accept it.

Your wife sounds like my boyfriend! If the cat jumps up into his lap he won't move until the cat decides to jump down. He is a prisoner of love when it comes to the cat.

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

I lol'd to this. I'm very fortunate, my wife loves the tank and wants it to look even better then it does now... but i have a budget . She's said a time or two that i care about the fish more then her... but there are only 2 fish!!!!!!!

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea...

I'm glad I can talk to you people here because no one wants to hear me at home :( It'd be a lot more fun if I had someone to fish shop (the only kind of shopping I actually enjoy!) with me that didn't tell me to hurry up or complain over prices. Hey, it's my money and I don't like people making me feel guilty about spending it on something I enjoy.

aunt kymmie: "prisoner of love" !! That made me laugh out loud!

20 gallon long: 3 adult Neolamprologus similis + about 11 fry of various ages; low light planted tank
20 gallon long:2 freshwater dwarf puffers (Puff Puff and Poofer); medium-light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Wormy; low light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Dante; low light planted tank
2, 5.5 gallon tanks that are currently empty (I see more fish on the horizon )

I, too would like to have someone to fish shop with, who won't make me hurry or wait in the car while I run in somewhere real quick.

My wife cringes when I tell her one day I'm going to have a 150 gallon freshwater and 200+ gallon reef tank. On top of all the other tanks I want. She likes the way they look, just not what they cost.
