Now I'm desperate...

With only 3 more days to go before Christmas Eve encroaches, what gift should I buy for my father? I'm out of ideas. Something sweet and sentimental would be best. Not chocolates please.

Jokers, pls keep the jokes to yourself.

I have only 12 more hours to go before I go shopping tomorrow.

I'm ready for the pressure.
The drama and the pleasure!
If there is one thing I want to see here, it's HUMOR.
I believe I can fly!
I believe I can touch the sky!
I think about it every night and day!
I stand in awe of my body.

Have you considered something engraved with a message from you to him? That can be very sentimental. I got my father a pocket watch once with an engraving on the back and he seemed to really appreciate, even though the chances are one in a million that he'll ever have a use for a pocket watch :)

That's nice. Will see if I can get items and have them engraved.

Other suggestions are appreciated.

Now that I have kids. Just get him what you feel you think he'll like. Anything my kids get me I like. Because they are my children. It could be as simple as a picture my son as done(Because hes 4) that will brighten my day. I say get him what you feel he likes. No one one this site can say for sure because we dont know your dad, only you do. What does he like to do, any hobbies that he likes?

Bicycling. But I won't buy him what his bike needs. He always seems to get what he needs for it anyway.

Lol..X-Mike. A nano cube won't last long if he keeps it. He has a tendency not to bother with fish although he still buys what my tanks need.

Thanks, Sazzy. I'm going out in 3 hours and will try what I can see in malls. The suggestions would help me faster.

Yeah, Bri. It's hard to decide which one they like. I'll try though.:)

Well, after some time roaming the shopping mall, I bought an expensive wallet. Oh oh..I was suffering already from a headache inside the mall while trying to think what I should buy for my father.

What should I buy? Pillows, chocolates, beltbag, clothes, diary....

So much for those things. I detest chocolates for gifts. Cadbury, Toblerone, Hershey's, Ferrero Rocher, etc.

Beltbags are expensive. I'd love the Samsonite as it's very durable but it is very expensive. I wouldn't go with clothes as I fear getting them undersize or oversize. Diaries are cheap. My father would never use it even for an executive planner. I don't think he even fancies pillows.

If I buy VCDs, I would end up being the one watching them instead.

How difficult it is to get a gift. I couldn't even choose watches as they're beyond my budget.

Ah well...I added a Christmas card at least.

Actually, I jsut saw this thread and I think that you picked a nearly perfect (pr perfect) gift.
I was going to suggest exactly that or an expensive keyring.
Those are the two things that all of the adult males in my life have treasured for years.

Fish have taken over my house. I threw away my couch to make room for another 125 gallon.
