THE NERVE!!!

There is a LFS that moved to the area about 4 months ago and I finally went there today for the first time.

If you can believe it, she has an American alligator, all 3-4 feet of him in a 55-65 gallon tank! She even makes money on letting people feed him mice, rats and sea bass. I just can not believe she can do something like that and be all willing to try and tell me that AC filters are not any good and Undergravels are the best way to go. Even tried to accuse me of not knowing how to tell the difference between male and female BN plecos. 2 scorpions in a little critter cage, each 3 inches long. A tortoise in a 4 foot long 2 foot wide shallow litter type dish.

Sorry, I normally won't do things like this but this place was BAD!

Sigh...Let alone how much wastes the alligator can produce in a small tank. Mice and rats contribute a lot of wastes. UG filters alone are insufficient.

I know how you feel about places that bad.
