Had my laptop and many other things stolen. Surprisingly they managed this with our Rottweiler. Big bummer. Now i have to check out this site via my phone. At least none of our pets were harmed.

Sorry to hear about that. At least all of your animals are safe. Never had a break in myself, but do remember when growing up house across the street got broken into. Mom had seen the guy coming out of the house and my dad ended up chasing him down the street with a shot gun in his pjs. The cops picked up the guy and then brought him in the police car to the front of our house wanting my mom to come out to identify him. After that we got german sheperds, mom was afraid that the guy might come back and try to do something. The first sheperd we got hardly ever barked and if you gave her food she would become your best friend, not exactly what you want in a guard dog.

Luckily no-one was home at the time and your pets are safe. I'm really surprised about the Rotti. tho. I know I'd run if one was coming after me.

OMG! Gwen, I am so sorry to hear this!!! Hopefully this means you or your family were NOT home during this time!! (Sadly, when our home was attempted to be robbed, I was home... I was okay, had him arrested on the spot... I have some PTSD from it, mainly paranoia when home alone or in the shower. And just 2 weeks before that while working at the high end kennel, they were robbed while I was feeding the dogs in back, alone. I saw the guys and had to go to court as a witness a few times.)

Anyways... did the police catch the guy or anything??? Glad you, your fam, and your pets are all okay!!! I know first hand how traumatizing these situations can be!!!

Up your home security, is a security system a possibility?

wow sorry to hear!!! so glad all of you made it through shook but unharmed physically... i hope they catch them and you can if not get your stuff back at least know they wont do this to some one else... good luck!!

Thanks all for the thoughts. Still writing from my phone, so a bit limited. No, they're not caught. Likely won't be. I was relieved that they did not do anything cruel like smash my tanks, and come home to dead fish on floor. We're fine and life goes on. Did treat myself to 10 Neon tetras, who are all doing fine
