Yes, I know, but there are several problems with getting her a mate.
(a) a nice pretty pied lovebird like her is expensive. Which, if I was to get another lovebird, I would get a nice pretty pied.
(b) I would have to get a old enough male, which means I wouldn't get it as baby, which means I couldn't train it right like I did her.
(c) If I had 2 lovebirds, they would "bond" with each other, not me. Alex is currently "bonded" with me as her owner. And I like her that way. :)
(d) If she did lay eggs, and the eggs did hatch, I would have baby lovebirds! Which would be a great joy but would also be a huge responsibility that I'm not willing to take on at the moment.
(e) There are already 2 birds in the house (Bo, a yellow female cockatiel, and Alex) and any more birds would drive us crazy! There are a noisy bunch.
And that's why I haven't got her a mate
