Meteor shower

Living in NYC, I'm lucky to get a glimpse of a few starts on a clear night. I was just outside and for the first time in forever witnessed a "shooting star"... Then another... And another... Etc. I was very, VERYYYY amazed, and realized it must be one of the bigger meteor showers. I guess the timing of the super clear sky was very good tonight. The stars are very clear as well.... But actually seeing a meteor shower is a whole other experience, I cannot say I have seen one before this with such clarity and astonishment! As soon as I got home of course I looked it up and have come up with this:
Geminid meteor showers to delight city on Monday - Chandigarh - City - The Times of India

StarDate Online | 2009 Meteor Showers and Viewing Tips

Yahoo! Year in Review 2009 - End-of-Year Sky Show: Geminid Meteor Shower

Again, this was a wonderful experience, especially for someone in such a big city.
Can anyone else relate?

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm going to check it out tonight. We had a meteor shower last summer but it rained the day it was suppose to peak.

Ain't like going down to the pond, cetching bluegills and tommy cats!
