Hi Ron,

Installing FireFox or the Opera web browser for the purpose of seeing whether they provide you with horizontal scroll bars should not require you to manually access the Windows registry at all. The installation program for either of those programs will automatically take care of any registry modifictions that the the programs need.

As far as the resolution I use, I regularly switch between 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, and 1280 x 800 to ensure that the site looks right to members browsing at any of these resolutions. I keep the color set to 32 bits, though, for richer color.

Thanks,
Mike :)

Thanks:

I was thinking in terms of a full "uninstallation" (ie. no future pop up boxes, etc. as with McAffee products).

That is very good "thinking" which I would not have though of!

Is it your Toshiba XP laptop that you're having difficulty with? If so, try running it at 1024 x 768 pixels, with colour set at 32 bit (highest resolution).
More "good thinking"!!! but it is an "el cheapo" and I am concerned that if I change the resolution the graphics card will not allow me to change back (I am running it in it's factory default settings)!
