I'm on short term medical leave. I get a letter from my HR department yesterday telling me that I have 30 days from the "due date" to pay for my medical insurance. There is not a due date on the letter.
I call HR and ask for the due date. They put me on hold for 20 minutes, and return to tell me "sorry, we can't provide that information. But it needs to be paid before the 30 days are up."
That sounds exactly the way Anthem Blue Cross operates. IMHO, medical insurance companies are today's legalized mafia.
