I donno I'm relaxed about all this and so is hubby....I guess one's you been send off to the sand box w/out food w/out water and sleep in a Humvee for weeks on end...you just really do not care about 1-2 days power outage lol

I just checked the updates...they're calling for a WHOLE 2-3 inches snow..that doesn't even classify for "storm" IMO

I never understood why people need bread and milk to get through a snowstorm. I never will. I remember walking to school in a foot and a half of snow with snot freezing on my scarf when I was in elementary school. Today they get a day off if there's an inch of the ground. Half of it is the media now-adays. The news talks about an inch all day like it's a blizzard. Makes me crazy! When I was 16, I drove to school the day after an ice storm. Yep, we had school. The whole parking lot was a solid sheet of ice and all you saw were teens behind wheels of cars with their mouths hanging open as the slalom'ed into eachother. I think I was the only one who didn't have an accident. God bless stick shift! And this was PA. It's not like we never had snow and ice. They were coming into the lot at their normal speed and then just sliding away...

Where I live, all we have to do is get 2-3 inches of snow and there's no school. When we first moved to Colorado and we had snow my brother and I were like, all right! No school! Well, guess what? We had school!

I just really question peoples ability to walk, talk, drive and think for themselves if something as simple as 1-2" snow can put everything & everybody under lock down.
Last year when we got iced over to help the power company (since we were up on the Mtn and there's really only 1 line) we got in the Truck had fun off roading and chopped up the tree debris in the Rd ways and as we made our way more & more neighbors joined...by the time the power company reached us, they drove right in, hooked us all back up, done real super quick....I donno I guess I'm just a person that can always find something fun to do in the worst of cases

Well, it's always good if you can make lemonade out of lemons.
