I'm a failure as a "Foster Mom"- my dog Skip

A little background: The B/F was out at the desert working a job and called me saying he found a stray. After some discussion it was decided that he would bring him home and we would "foster" him until we could find him a forever home. Of course, it was love at first sight and he now has his forever home. The B/F was complaining, "But you already have two dogs. You said you were going to find him a home, you already have too many animals, blah, blah, blah".

He weighs all of 25 pounds, likes to chase my cats (we are working on this), never barks, doesn't dig, likes to chew on things (also working on this) and is a complete and total love bug. The vet isn't sure what breed/mix of dog he is. What do you all think? Some sort of terrier, I'm thinking. But seeing that he doesn't bark or dig maybe not a terrier?

Awwwwww he's sooooo cute!!

get some meat on those bones!

I see three possible breeds, Jack russell, Lab, and pit bull. Could be all of those plus some mixed together. Who knows!

OMG too adorable. I can see why you are keeping him.

I am not too good with breeds. There is a test you can have done to tell you what he is. My mom had my dog Elvis tested, turns out he is a Border Collie, Borzoi mix. Looks more like a skinny yellow lab if you ask me.

He doesn't look like a Terrier. I have a jack russel, and she has the complete opposite personallity. You never can tell for certain though.

I see Pit Bull for some reason. The ears and eyes just scream Pit.

Meat on his bones? You should have seen him when I first got him. He was severely malnourished, had a bad case of giaurdia and only weighed 20 pounds. He looked like the poster pup you see on those flyers from the ASPCA entitled "stop animal abuse". He's gained five pounds since I've had him, trying to get him up to 30. He eats like a pig. You'd never know it from these pics.

well now,aint he a sweetie. !
i think i agree with everyone else,he looks like he's got a few in there,
a Heinz 57 doggie.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

He really is. I've always had big dogs who are very secure in their personalities and demeanours. It's nice for me to now have a little dog who wants nothing more than to sit in my lap and be loved on. I may do the DNA testing as I'm really curious to know what brand of Heinz 57 he is.

He's sweet! Love his face. I too think he looks like a multitude of terriers. He's very, very cute. I'd fall for him too.

On chewing, I had a good outcome with spraying bitter apple on things I didn't want Molly to chew on. Like furniture things, chair legs and such. That doesn't work for everyone but it did for her.

16 Gallon-4 Corys, 3 Endler's, 5 Celestial Pearl Danios
10 Gallon: Male King Betta-Kilo
5 Gallon: Male Marble HM-Logan
5 Gallon: Dwarf Puffer-Huey
5 Gallon: Male VT-Tango

He doesn't go for furniture (luckily) and is fond of shoes and buttons on clothing. The easy remedy for that is to keep the shoes and clothing picked up! So, finally a reason for the b/f to pick up his stuff instead of tossing it wherever it lands. All my nagging never worked but Skip finally made sure he picked his stuff up, lol.
