I hate insomnia!

1:57 AM EST. I've tried everything and I can't get to sleep. I've even counted damsels swimming over a clam. Okay, not really :) But I can't sleep no matter how tired I am. Does anyone else have this problem? How do you get to sleep?

I got insomnia last Tuesday. Can't sleep for an hour. I had to cover my head under the pillow. Argh!!! Very hot!
I didn't know how I sleep afterwards though.

I'm ready for the pressure.
The drama and the pleasure!
If there is one thing I want to see here, it's HUMOR.
I believe I can fly!
I believe I can touch the sky!
I think about it every night and day!
I stand in awe of my body.

That doesn't sound like fun, Blue :( I only slept four hours last night and it seems tonight may be the same...

Sigh..yeah..
I slept last Friday for only 3 hours. Because I was too busy chatting with Kate via pm and yakking away with some YM messages.

This is weird. But when it comes to drinking coffee at midnight, I can still sleep. Not the insomnia though.

Try reading a semi-boring book. Not too boring though ;)

Thanks for the ideas, guys. I have used Tylenol PM in the past when I couldn't sleep but I didn't have any on hand last night. I would really like restful sleep without having to resort to pills.

Ok. Try not to eat anything in the evening after dinner, and avoid tea and coffee.

Some gentle exercise after dinner will help.

Try to do something that's not going to stimulate your mind too much in the couple of hours leading up to bed time, and a soothing warm bath may also help relax you.

If you like herb remedies...

Catnip tea is suppose to work, although I have not tried it myself.

Just google it if you care to try, I mean what harm could it do?

I work night shift from four thirty pm to three am . I am home by three thirty am. When I to bed my wife is somtimes still awake. I give her a back massage and she falls a sleep. I can sleep no problem. Staying awake is my problem.
