it's surprising you know.......you think you don't have much to give,
however never underestimate yourself,you may have the answer
that people can't find.

when you set up a new tank,hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor,that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

I'm 23.

I always take any advice with a grain of salt. I always try to keep an open mind about the advice I receive - sure, maybe some young kid with not much experience just looked something up on google, but perhaps the wise old man with years of experience in the hobby is stuck in his ways and doesn't realize that there may be other, better approaches that he's ignoring due to his experience. I think the best advice comes from an experienced person who has also done plenty of research outside of their own experiences in order to form a well-rounded opinion of the subject at hand. Of course, this goes for just about any topic, not just fishkeeping.

The nice thing about this forum is that people can share what has worked for them and what has not, no matter what age they are.

Oh! I wish I were 14...and smart...and knowledgeable... By the way, one of my angels is almost 14!
I guess I would enjoy any kind-hearted advice whatever the age of the giver!

Especially 10 y.o.'s that have not been corrupted by our wonderful Public School system.... I'm 18 though.

Stock cars? Bah. Take out the iPod integration kit, the soundproofing, the air conditioning, and every single comfort option that the car came with. Then install a racing suspension, Sparco racing seat with a six-point harness, a rollcage, a fire system, lightweight hood and trunk deck. Now we can get down to business.8)

I'm 28, and dumbstruck that I'm about to have a '3' on the front of my age . Where did the time go? It feels like I was a wild and crazy college kid yesterday, then I realize I've been out of that phase of my life for the better part of a decade.

I've kept freshwater aquaruims for years, and got into marine about a year ago. Still learning! But I find a great way to learn is to teach... I'm careful about any advice I give and be sure to only do it if I feel confident that what I'm saying is right. I also offer plenty of caveats in case I say something wrong, to cover my rear

"To an optimist, the glass is half-full;
to a pessimist, the glass is half-empty;
to an engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be"
