If you want to keep those natural oils in your hair, you can condition your hair [quarter-sized amount] every day, but don't WASH it every day.

K, I shut up now. :)
Old habits die hard. I've been washing my hair (and taking a shower) everyday since the fifth grade and if I didn't I'd feel "dirty" so it's not something I can do. Even camping in the upper elevations of the Sierras I'll dunk my head in ice cold water and shampoo. I'm nuerotic, what can I say?

I can totally relate, I shivered when my hair stylist told me to stop scrubbing my hair every day. But, I figured that nice hair was better than bad hair and tried it, and it really worked for me! So I just run my head under hot hot water to kill bacteria or germs or whatever's in there, and the conditioner acts as an agent to get rid of any leftover stuff the water didn't take out on its own...Uhh...I guess I treat my hair like a fish tank...LOL.

So its ok to condition it and not wash it? I wash mine every day because it feels dirty if I don't.

Wow, I'm SO behind!

For the most part, I shower every day, but not ACTUALLY every day.

On days I have so much homework on, forget showers - I study instead. I also don't shower Fridays...I sleep for 15 hours instead (but then, I feel so disgusting the next morning!!). It's also not uncommon for me to skip a shower.

My hair is not oily after one day, but after two days it gets on my nerves. However, even then, I wouldn't say it is too oily. But two days should be the limit, as that is when I force myself to take a shower.

So, I've cut back on shampoo and conditioning, so I'll see how it turns out for me.

Does the amount of shampoo/conditioner affect the manage-ability (lol.) of the hair?

Heh, my hair is dark brown although I dyed it with blonde streaks. Used Sunsilk or Kolour shampoo with Sunsilk conditioner. One squirt is all I needed and my hair grows 1" a month.

For real?? I don't suppose there's a chance of getting a pic of your crazy dark brown hair w/ blonde streaks?? Don't tell me, I already know the answer....
