Horses

I saw these horses when I was out and about today, and decided to take a couple of picturess. I love horses, although I've never kept one and don't know all that much about them. Anyway, the brown horse (last picture) had a sort of covering over his mouth and I wondered if anybody knows what this is for? He was really friendly, and followed us the length of the field :)

Ah that explains it, thank Bri! Yes, I loved the dapple in the first picture too. I'm not sure what was going on here - fighting for attention perhaps?

i dont really think its a disease...its more of a bad habit that they pick up...my quarter-horseXarab used to do it alot...he would toss his head and skip around when trying to get on him. it was irritating. they do it when they're agitated too.

and I would say by the looks of that pic that the dapple dun is the alpha, and he(she) doesn't approve of the chestnut getting more attention than him (her). :D

What a bee with an itch. Lame I know. But whatever.

Lol I knew it wasn't a disease... But I couldn't think of what to call it. You could sort of call it a disease, people with schizophrenia have a disease sorta, just a mental one.

I dunno, my horse has allergies to everything under the sun so during the summer he's completely covered with fly mesh...even his face. I gotta get a pic to show one of these days, he scares other horses that aren't used to him :)

hehe trying falling off one when jumping XD. yea i am trying to be more confident around them on the ground, as everyone scares me with the "my horse bit me and it hurt" but on there back is a different story i dont mind falling, being bucked etc as any rider would agree XD
