Fun thread!!!

I'm Lauren, 19, freshman in college and engaged. :) I attend Eastern Kentucky University with my best friend [and next semester, hopefully my other best friend] and the love of my life. I am from Louisville, KY- and I hope that I'll be able to find a job relating to my major [English Theatre- it's a weird one...] there so I can stay close to my family.

I'm an only child, and didn't always have a great childhood [deaths and weird accidents mark my memory more than anything else] so I grew up pretty early. [I suppose that explains why I'm such a big kid now] I love talking to my parents and I'll tell them pretty much everything that happens in my life.

I come from a family of animal lovers. [it comes from my mom] I have had multiple cats- mostly our neighbor's cats that came over to our house for food; about 5 dogs, and multiple goldfish. [now they're in my dad's man-made pond outside of our house] Of course, I have my little betta buddy too. :)

I love meeting new people with similar interests to mine, so I tend to have a lot of acquaintances and a few really good friends. So, just so you know some of my interests: I love broadway, theatre, animals, The Beatles <3, the channel TLC, movies from the 80s, Ghost Hunters [the tv show], and so on and so forth.

However, I do NOT like Twilight, Stephanie Meyer, Robert Pattinson, etc, etc.... >.< Her writing drives me crazy, and she killed the vampire image.

I suppose that's enough from me!

My roommate loves Ghost Hunters.

I like the Twilight Books and I think Robert Pattinson is Dreamy.. but I have a thing for British accents, Dark hair, square jaws, and blue eyes... I do wish he wasn't so white though LOL I prefer a little more tan ;)

They aren't what I would call excellent literature but they are great to read when you just want a cheesy teen book to get away in. I also love cheesy romantic comedies... I refuse to acknowledge that love is not like that in real life.. maybe if people tried to act that way the divorce rate would go down. Any guy I date MUST be a door opener and a chair puller.. its just good manners.

@doggyhog, you're like, super pretty :D

I sleep with a stuffed puppy named Edward. I've had him since the 9th grade. He's the only thing the perfect size and cuddlieness for me. (i had one previous to Edward that was named Rocky but I losted him) And I have a pillow from when I was probably 5, long story though.
I'm an insomniac too, but mine is so severe I'll stay up until 4 in the morning before finally drifting off, and then waking back up at 7. I looked like a stoner because of my eyes, started making bad grades, couldn't understand people talking to me, couldn't drive straight. and had to get some meds to help me out. Naps don't help me, unfortunately.

I have 1196 songs on my 2nd gen iPod touch which I love (but my 2nd gen iPod nano will always have my heart) and we won't go into how I got all of them. They range from Red Hot Chili Peppers, My Chemical Romance, Bach, Ying Yang Twins, Colbie Calliet, Steve Vai, Jim Croce, Prince, Elvis Presley, Ronald Jenkees...etc. It's a wild mix.

I am an Apple fan girl...I have 2 iPods and a MacBook whom I love and will never, ever trade out for a Windows ever again.

Shall I say I am in love with John Anthony Frusciante? I want that man. I really, really would die to meet him. I'm heartbroken he left Chili Peppers, but hey. He's gotta do what makes him happy. My boyfriend has accepted the fact that John is the love of my life haha! Actually, my bf just wants to meet him because he's such a great guitarist and my bf is an aspiring guitarist (in the style of Stevie Ray Vaughan and John Mayer and John Frusciante, kind of a blues/funk mix). So you should be hearing him sooner or later ;)

Robert looks like he's constantly high lol. I know people who think he's dreamy, I don't have a problem with that. It's the fact that people go crazy over books being written well. Being an English major- I only got past the second chapter before I put it down and didn't return.

I enjoy cheesy romance stories, too, though. The Notebook [the movie, I never read the book, although my friend did] is one of my favorite movies. My fiance tries his best to be one of those door opener guys [I don't care if he pulls my chair out for me] but I think we've just gotten complacent. We got engaged on Christmas Eve after two years of dating. [once you get past that one year mark, the lovey-dovey stuff just gets boring]
