Hmmm, well I guess I'll give it a shot. :D
My name is Vikki, 19. I'm currently unemployed and not in college. I can't figure out the darn FAFSA and I have no clue how to get grants and all that. I know I'll go to college eventually.

I grew up in Ohio. For the first 11 years of my life I lived with my Mom. Now, I have no problem discussing this, and you did say to say what's comfortable, lol. But the first 11 years of my life were pretty rough, when my sister born when I was 7 I had to grow up real fast and become her mom. So I was raising a kid, going to school and managing a household at the same time. But when I was 11 my mom committed suicide and my sister and I had to part. She moved in with my aunt and I moved in with my dad. I was very excited for this. Little did I know, my dad is an alcoholic and abuses drugs. I lived with him for 5 years while he verbally and physically abused my step sisters and I. I became very close to my 2 step sisters and still hold them very closely to my heart. But when I was 16, in the summer I moved to Georgia with my aunt and sister. :D So I've been here for 2 and a half yearsish.

Sorry that was a big paragraph lol. But yeah. So I have 2 step sisters, well they aren't really anymore because my dad and step mom divorced, but still, and 2 half sisters. One that I haven't even met. Another long story, lol.

Well I graduated high school early and have had a very boring life since then. I live with my boyfriend, of 2 and a half years, and his family. Things go pretty great. I try to keep myself busy with my bettas, cross stitching, reading, cleaning, cooking and listening to my music. I LOVE everything I just listed that I do, lol. I want to go to college to be a vet tech, nurse, something like that. I also love animals. I've had dogs, cats, rabbits, iguanas, ferrets, mice, rats, fish, gerbils, hamsters, snakes...yeah.
I also stick to a small group of friends. I wouldn't say I'm antisocial, but I stick to a small group of friends. I've got my boyfriend and about 5ish other friends that I'm usually hanging with if I'm not relaxing at home. When I'm actually talking to someone, I have the tendency to talk in questions. Oh, and I love singing too. I'm not a bad writer either, I just have to be in a writing mood. And I occasionally play games. But, unlike ya'll, I do watch TV. LOL. I have a show almost every day of the week, oops. :D
I can't think of anything else at the moment. But if I do, I'll edit. :D

Wow I feel like the old lady of the bunch. I've been married 29 years, my daughter is 21 and I have worked for the same non-profit agency for the last 23 years. You do the math for my age.

My name is Karen. I work in the accounting field but I am working on becoming a Graduate Gemologist. I attend the Gemological Institute of America in NYC and a lapidary school in Georgia. In my spare time (what's that) I design and make jewelry.

I have 3 bettas, 2 cats and my daughters dog. I'm also in to Aerogardens. I have 10 of them. I grow spring flowers, tomatoes and peppers in my house year round. It's fabulous having petunias and geraniums blooming in my dining room in the middle of winter.

I also thought doggyhog was a 30 something guy. Sorry about that EM.

Sheesh Vikki, what a life history to already have at the mere age of 19. HUGE hugs from me to you. That type of history can easily destroy a person. Kudos to you for getting through it.

Everyone else here? I though ALL of you were older. You're all well spoken and present maturity beyond your years, even though all of you say you're antisocial. Isn't funny how we all become so social when we're hiding out behind our computers??

Count me in too DH.. I thought you were a guy.. maybe in your mid to late 20s for a little while.. but its ok.. I people have thought I was a guy too before.

@Vikki... wow. Your story is unbelievable.. and your my age! {{{HUGS}}} Oh, and about the FAFSA.. depending on what school your looking at you can usually make an appointment with the registar or financial aid department and they should help you with filling out the FAFSA... since I'm still a dependent my Mom fills out mine.. and I'm glad she does cuz it is confusing

Its great hearing about y'all. I'll add some stuff...

Before I moved to GA I never said or wrote "y'all or fixin' to" or any other slang like that but I do quite frequently now. I have 1,504 songs on my Ipod that range from gangsta rap to country to oldies (and I mean oldies.. I have Frank Sinatra and Billie Holiday on there). I play piano and a little guitar but I like piano much better. Um.. lets see.. oh.. I still sleep with a stuffed horse that I've had since 3rd grade.. his name is Clyde :).. the only time I can sleep without him is if I have my dog or my cat to snuggle with. Pink is my favorite color.. and everything from my lamp, laptop, bedspread, to curtains is pink in my dorm room. Oddly enough I have nothing pink in my room at home.. except the paint in my bathroom is a very pale pink.

I have insomnia (if you see me posting past 10 or 11 its because I can't sleep) so I frequently take naps during the day and go to bed early. I try to stay off sleep aids as much as possible but I do have a prescription for lunesta for when I really need to sleep.

I'm single right now and I don't mind it.. most guys can't handle me. I have a big personality in a 5'2" package.

Lastly.. I'm a huge scaredy cat. I'm scared of.. tornadoes, bugs, ET (yes the alien from the movie), clowns, scary movies, Johnny Depp dressed up as anything other than a Pirate or Sweeney Todd, big crowds (but oddly enough I have no problem speaking on stage or in front of a class),.. well thats all I can think of now but I'm sure you get the idea.
