I got me a Nikon D 5000 2 lens kit. Look out internets pictures lol. Reading the manual now. It's on. I been wanting to dive in to photography for a long time. I couldn't quite part with the money for a D 90 although I was licking my chops for it. It's all good. Good pics are taken with the person, not the camera. But a good camera helps :)
I'm geeking it up on the manual. Yes I read them front to back. Otherwise it's just a waste of trees. See, I do my part for mama nature.

Maybe that's why I could never figure out how to work my camera, you're suppose to read the manual??

I've been reading the manual all day, watched the dvd that came with, and my head is spinning. I can't get my head wrapped around all this camera geek speak.

I can't wait to see your pictures! I love my Nikon D40. I don't know everything about the camera yet because there are so many buttons and options.lol

Lol Kym. I try to be too collected for that. I want to know what I'm doing. It never fails that a push/push/ try that push this results in a great shot and I have no idea how I got the settings there.
