The geek in me

I got me a Nikon D 5000 2 lens kit. Look out internets pictures lol. Reading the manual now. It's on. I been wanting to dive in to photography for a long time. I couldn't quite part with the money for a D 90 although I was licking my chops for it. It's all good. Good pics are taken with the person, not the camera. But a good camera helps :)
I'm geeking it up on the manual. Yes I read them front to back. Otherwise it's just a waste of trees. See, I do my part for mama nature.

I've been reading the manual all day, watched the dvd that came with, and my head is spinning. I can't get my head wrapped around all this camera geek speak.

Just do what I do, start pushing buttons and see what happens!

Lol Kym. I try to be too collected for that. I want to know what I'm doing. It never fails that a push/push/ try that push this results in a great shot and I have no idea how I got the settings there.
