Well, I bought a guitar and guitar hero 3 off craigslist, and the CD was scratched, so it would freeze on two of the songs of the first level. Bummer!
I got a glasses cleaning cloth and mixed some baking soda with water. I put some of the mixture on the CD and rubbed the cloth over it from the inside to the outside (this is important, not circular!). Slowly and gently, lo and behold, the scratch was mostly rubbed away.
I rinsed it carefully, put it back in my xbox 360 and viola! It worked! Yay!
Just wanted to share with you guys, cuz it was so easy and cheeep. I also think places like gamestop will fix discs for like $3, but it was 2am and I wanted to play NOW. No promises if it breaks your disk, but it worked for me! Yay!
