Earthquake Scare

Hi all.

Philippines is located in the area of "Pacific Ring of Fire" where earthquakes and other disasters are quite common.

Wish I live in an area not frequented by catastrophies.

Unfortunatelt blue there is no where in the worl like this. Weather related disasters happen everywhere. I know an eathquake isnt weather realated but it still happens.

You're right.:) Although what worries me is usually how frequent they can happen. As I live in the area where earthquakes happen frequently, it would be one of my biggest worries aside from power outage.
But we can't do anything about it anyway. And there's no way you can really make the tanks become shock-proof.

I'm glad you and your family and fish are safe, Blue. I read about the mudslides as well :( i do not know if they were anywhere near your home but I did think of you and was concerned for your well-being.

I don't live in an earthquake zone, or a hurricane zone, but for about two months every summer we can be prone to tornados. I guess the only other thing that can happen here is heavy rainfall with flooding, or an ice storm in the winter.

Would you believe about 1000 people were killed by the hurricane in Albay(where Mt. Mayon is located)? I didn't realize the hurricane's speed was 265 kph. This was the fourth strongest hurricane to hit our country but the 3rd strongest in a century. I'm lucky our place never even got rainfall.

I'm lucky we have a generator. And none of my fish have been problematic when power outage happens. I had rummy-nose tetras which are supposed to be sensitive but they don't have issues.
