When I think of ducks... I get Ducks=Poop=gross...

Don't get me wrong, I love ducks, just not what they leave behind. LOL

We had a pet duck when we lived in Germany. I was around 10 years old at the time. Oscar was the nicest pet. We used to take her outside and she would never try to run (or fly) away.

Don't you need a license to keep a bird?

You probably need a license to keep a bird of prey, such as a falcon, but I doubt you'd need one for ducks, chickens, etc.
And certainly not a parrot. For what a pain in the [edit] parrots can be they should come with a warning label! (see Toby, in my avatar- spoiled demanding little parrot!)

Awwwww those pictures are SO cute! I live around a big lake so I see all different kinds of birds. We have a Gray Herring that comes around the lake and my neighbors pond...it makes such a scary noise though.lol

Actually, you need a license to keep Canadian Geese, Mallards, Pheasants, Quails, and some other birds. Some rare parrots you might need a license.

EDIT: It just depends on where you live.

Aw, that's so cute! I love ducks. Geese too. Except my dog eats their poo and then picks up giardia. :/

They sure do. That is why most are on a pond or put up in a pen. Besides my lonely Tim, who is running loose. Like an hour or so ago I had to get her out of my niece's pool. lol But you do have to admit they do make awesome pillows and blankets, their down feathers.
